Interactive technology in 21st century education offers new opportunities to think flexibly about curriculum design and engagement of adolescents in participatory learning environments. In 2016, with the collaboration of a Malaysian educational partner school, we incorporated an Asia-Pacific writing project into our English language curriculum. The purpose of this project was not only to offer students and teachers the chance to adapt, innovate and inquire via a digital learning platform but also to contribute to the development of successful global citizenship through a process known as E-twinning.
